Our first major partnership is with the British Council, which has devised a series of lesson plans for children aged 7 to 14 based on a selection of the personal histories on the website.
We are working to develop more partnerships to support the continued growth of the Kite Tales and encourage engagement, through education and other outreach activities including exhibitions, talks and translating the stories into Myanmar ethnic minority languages. Please contact us for details.
The Kite Tales might never have taken flight if it wasn't for the support and encouragement of our friends. Many people - both anonymous and mentioned below - have made this project a reality by providing both monetary and in-kind support. Our guardian angels Aung Htun and Andy Annett were our first champions and we will always be grateful for their confidence in us. Other supporters: Tina Singhsacha, Ko Peter Moe Kyaw, Adam Cooper and Isabell Poppelbaum.
The Kite Tales logo and branding was designed pro bono by the fabulous Brand New Day Asia, while our website was built and supported by the brilliant team at inspiral creative.
Thank you also to our amazing volunteer editors Rachel O’Brien and Roland Lloyd Parry.
